This pleasant-tasting brew includes Ginkgo, whose herbal use has
been traced backed almost 5000 years. Ginkgo is most famous for
promoting circulation to the brain enhancing memory and mental
clarity.
Ginkgo -
Ginkgo has been seen to improve blood flow to the brain & other
tissues and speed up cellular metabolism. It is also an antioxidant
- decreasing cellular damage caused by free radicals. Most illnesses
relieved by ginkgo are associated with old age, a time of life
when both blood flow and cellular metabolism deteriorate. Ginkgo's
action may result from dilation of blood vessels. It can be useful
for raynaud's dz. and other conditions involving vascular spasm,
varicose veins, ulcers & hemorrhoids. Ginkgo has been seen
to significantly improve mental states, emotional lability, difficulty
remembering and the tendency to tire easily.
Lavender - Also an herb known to promote circulation, lavender
can be calming and pain relieving. It is commonly used to relieve
anxiety, nervous exhaustion, stress, tension, relax muscles spasms,
headaches and nausea.
Gotu kola -
Is known as an anti-stress herb. Like Ginkgo, it is thought to
improve memory and stimulate circulation. Studies have shown it
to have a direct effect on the adrenal gland which could explain
its reputation for increasing energy and endurance.
Stevia - Also known as the sweet plant of
Paraguay, Stevia is included in this formula primarily as a sweetener. It has
also been investigated as an aid in
blood sugar regulation and as an antihypertensive. Stevia
has been used in native cultures for over 100 years. Stevia has been used in
Japan extensively to sweeten pickles, dried foods, soy sauce, fruit juices,
soft drinks, frozen deserts, gum and diet foods. Stevia has been studied for
potential beneficial effects on diabetics. It retards the growth of plaque
in the mouth, and is anti-carcinogenic. Dozens of studies have shown it to
be safe for human use.
